The 160mm bore compliments the four current models of SMC locking and non-locking cylinders. The SMC cylinders are incorporated in the customer’s unique Tech-Pivot design. The Tech-Pivots design offers a fully adjustable angle opening for tooling flexibility allowing the use of SMC’s 80 bore and 100 bore locking and non-locking cylinders with weld resistant coil scrapers as a standard.
The Tech-Pivot provides multiple mounting and modular sizing options in the automotive welding environment. It is used as a transfer device to provide repetitive functions in industrial applications such as automation, tooling and robotics.
Flodraulic Group was a key partner throughout the design and engineering process. We also worked closely with the customer in developing a stocking plan to support substantial quantities of Tech-Pivots in varying sizes.
