Challenge: Materials Testing Lab Installation and Plumbing
One of Flodraulic’s good customers combined three material testing facilities into one location. The new facility included four distinct testing areas with a total of 150 separate material testing stations.
Each station required clean pneumatic supply lines and hydraulic lines including pressure, return and cylinder rod-gland drains. Flodraulic was called upon to provide a complete installation and commissioning package. This included over 500 Eaton/Aeroquip hose assemblies, 3,000ft of hydraulic tubing, 550 DMIC ball valves, 1,200 Stauff clamps and countless SMC air filters, manifolds, valves, fittings and lengths of tubing.
Flodraulic was able to provide a complete turnkey installation package. We also plumbed, flushed and tested all equipment as it was being installed. Flodraulic also provided AirMax EQOfluids tubing to the compressor room and tube runs through the walls to the hydraulic power unit rooms. So testing was not disrupted, the customer moved its equipment in planned stages from the old locations to the new one. This meant that Flodraulic had to adhere to tight timelines. Not only did we meet customer expectations, the customer has since selected Flodraulic for similar work at other locations where they have testing facilities.
