Challenge: Robotic Assembly Cell Redesign
Flodraulic worked with a customer whose robotic assembly cell was built upon an existing extrusion frame structure which proved not to be robust enough for the application.
The customer looked to Flodraulic for a solution for a three axis linear actuator system in need of stronger frame.
Flodraulic recommended a complete package redesign using Maytec. From Pro-E 3D modelling to MayTec’s comprehensive product capabilities, Flodraulic could design and build a 100% Flodraulic/MayTec single-source solution.
MayTec’s product depth allowed Flodraulic to build a stronger vibration-proof base frame upon which the robot would travel. Bearing rails from MayTec were integrated directly into the base frame extrusions, while allowing for the upper guarding to be installed separately after installation. The system design was such that it included accommodation for future machine guarding and safety needs which could be incorporated at a later date.
The customer received a complete turnkey engineered system solving an existing problem and saving time, money and labor with improved productivity, quality and flexibility!
