Lubricating Oil Systems

Challenge: Hot Gas Reclamation Refinery Fan Operation

Location: Oklahoma/Texas

Flodraulics’s RHM Division was asked by a major manufacturer of industrial fans to provide a lubricating oil system for a humid, ocean-side Texas refinery application.

Because it supports as critical operation, the system is fully redundant with expectations of a continuously operating twenty-five year life span.

The Flodraulic system by RHM is an API 614 Chapter 3, 5th Edition general purpose design. The lubrication system feeds pressurized lube oil simultaneously to two refinery environment centrifugal fan bearings. The all stainless steel construction design is suitable for Class 1, Division 2 are classification and it is packaged for “drop-in” installation at the refinery location.

The lube oil skid was subject to extensive non-destructive examination (NDE) including positive material identification (PMI) including radiographic testing (RT) of all welds, as well as, magnetic particle inspection (MPT) to verify all welds used in the construction of the entire system.

RHM’s expertise and experience with custom-designed systems for virtually any end-market environmental or specification-driven challenges set it apart from the competition.
